Another day on set:

Overseeing the space while shooting, making props as needed by production, and being ready to help tweak the space as needed by the director

Setting up props I oversaw, helped design and make for shooting.

Shooting on set

Another part of the job was to work along side grip and electric so they could move about the space and to also work with the director and DP so if they wanted to move some props, etc. we would be ready to cheat angles and what not to get the perfect shot.

Another big job was keeping track of continuity throughout the film. For example with this shot a character has to write a section of this paragraph in multiple angles and we had to keep track of how it looked each take.

Set ready for shooting

I also worked closely with my mentor and the Director and the DP of the film to determine what and how many practicals to use, etc. When shooting began it was my job to help with suggesting shots to use the space's full potential.

Set dressing and arranging the space to ready it for shooting

As production designer it was my job to oversee designs for a space and make decisions with the team on what we would execute. Here are photos of the final design in progress. We built the blue wall on the right (first pic) and specifically chose colors that went with the space and also related to the characters.
